    The world production of turmeric stands around 8 lakh tonnes, of which contribution of india is approximatly 75% - 80%. India is the largest producer and exporter of turmeric in the world. Turmeric is golden coloured and bitter taste spices. Turmeric is one of the main ingreedients in the Indian kitchen.
